It’s going to be a big weekend of Melbourne-Sydney sports rivalry ahead of us! First up, on Saturday, 1 October, is the AFL grand final between the Western Bulldogs vs. Sydney Swans will take place at Melbourne Cricket Ground at 2:30pm.
The next day, 2 October, will mark the long-awaited grand final between the Melbourne Storm vs. the Cronulla Sharks. They will kick off at 7:15pm on Channel Nine at ANZ Stadium in Sydney.
The Swans are hungry for a new premiership, with their previous ones being acheived in 2005 and 2012. The Bulldogs are equally ravenous, aiming to make their debut premier.
The Sharks are seeking their first ever premiership. The Storm has two under their belt (1999 and 2012), and they have contested several grand finals.
These are two games that will surely keep us on the edge of our seats!
